Palms Beach, QLD – Nestled in Burleigh Heads National Park lies Tallebudgera Creek, a local favourite known for its sparkling waters and shady banks. Families can swim, enjoy a picnic, engage in various water sports, or go fishing. Tallebudgera Creek is the perfect destination for those looking to escape the hustle and bustle of the city.
Tallebudgera Creek Park is currently undergoing upgrades to enhance and maintain its parks and recreational areas. Part of the improvements includes upgrading the beachfront park and installing a new boardwalk and beach access stairs. Treadwell was engaged to design and supply the FRP grating and balustrade for this project.

NatureTREAD™
- The lightweight nature of FRP allowed for ease of installation without the need for heavy machinery.
- Treadwell FRP is constructed with UV inhibitor and corrosion resistant properties, allowing it to withstand the harsh outdoor environment. It also has a higher threshold against wind and sand, making it more durable than traditional materials.
- EX-Series® GratEX® FRP Mini Mesh Grating allows water and small debris to pass through, minimising the risk of stagnation.
- Anti-slip grit is impregnated into the surface of the grating and stair treads, eliminating the risk of delamination, and provides a durable anti-slip surface for user safety.
- Due to its resistance to corrosion, rot and insect damage, FRP requires less maintenance than wood or metal structures. This translates to lower long-term maintenance costs.
