Brewers Road Boardwalk
Brewers Road Boardwalk - NatureTREAD™
Brewers Road Reserve walk, along Plane Creek in Sarina underwent a transformation to connect the parklands to Brewers Road. Designed to improve accessibility for residents, a boardwalk was installed to make it a bustling hub for recreation and fitness. To ensure that this the reserve was safe and able to accommodate all users, it was specified that it had to be wheelchair friendly.
Project Challenges
- Boardwalk is on a natural flood plain by the Plane Creek which periodically floods the area.
- To reduce impact on natural environment, our client asked for the decking product be laid directly on compacted rubble base. This removed the need for concreting paths and ensures a compliant pathway with little or no maintenance in the future.
