An FRP structure consisting of ArchitEX™ structural profiles, GratEX® Mini Mesh grating and NatureTREAD™ balustrades, this viewing platform ensures optimal safety for users. These Treadwell FRP products are constructed with corrosion resistant properties, UV stabilisers and fire retardant additives.

The structure’s previous timber decking had deteriorated and needed replacement. GridEX® FRP pultruded grating was selected as it allowed for long spans, while possessing the inherent FRP qualities of being lightweight, corrosion and UV radiation resistant. Allowing for quick and easy installation, and ensuring product integrity even in the exposed application.

NatureTREAD™ (formerly known as EnviroTREAD™) FRP Boardwalk installed in Morialta National Park, South Australia. Public Infrastructure need to withstand heavy use traffic, and be able to withstand the outdoor environment. Timber is prone to rot, steel is prone to corrosion. These structures also need to have slip resistance for user safety. Treadwell FRP is rot / termite / corrosion resistant, with an integrated anti-slip surface, while outlasting traditional materials.
